The children of Benton First are a very important part of our church family. Therefore, we have designed special classes for them to attend in order to prepare them to live the Christian life into adulthood. We believe and strive on the fact that building a solid spiritual foundation at an early age can shape who they become, changing the world as we know it. By teaching kids to develop a biblical foundation we can impact their everyday choices and actions.
During our Sunday 8:30 a.m. Worship Service kids 1st-5th grade will experience worship in the sanctuary with their parents and then leave to a creative and age-appropriate curriculum that includes fellowship, fun, food, and focused learning. Children grades Preschool (minimum age 2) – 5th grade are eligible to participate in Sunday school. The Preschool class is located in the Nursery, while the Kindergarten – 1st, 2nd – 3rd, and 3rd– 4thgrade classes are held in classrooms adjacent to the Sanctuary. The curriculum provided focuses upon Christian social concepts (such as the Golden Rule), important stories of the Bible (both Old and New Testaments), and practical skill building of important verses and text. Learning is enhanced through music, games, and activity sheets which are taught by caring and knowledgeable staff and volunteers.
